Pauline graduated from the University of Edinburgh’s Veterinary School before completing a PhD in Endocrinology at Edinburgh University’s Medical School. She then underwent her clinical training in Edinburgh ,and obtained the Diploma of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine before undertaking a Research Fellowship at The Salk Institute for Biological Studies in California.
Pauline then returned to Edinburgh as a Senior Lecturer in Cardiovascular Science and Small Animal Medicine, and was a practising clinician in the University’s Veterinary Internal Medicine Clinic and a veterinary clinical researcher throughout that time.
Following three years working in private referral practice in Cheshire, Pauline joined the Vets Now 24/7 Emergency and Specialty Hospital in Glasgow in April 2020. She has a strong commitment to both education and clinical research and is a Board member of the Society of Comparative Hepatology,and the ECVIM Clinical Studies Fund, external examiner for the BSAVA Postgraduate Certificate in Internal Medicine, and an Associate Clinical Editor for the Veterinary Record. Her particular areas of clinical interest include endocrinology and hepatology.
