Our team of specialists and referral vets offer pet owners in the Glasgow area access to the following referral services:

• Emergency and critical care
  Our emergency and critical care specialists will immediately see any pet your vet considers to be in an emergency situation. Among the life-threatening cases we regularly see are road traffic accidents, excessive bleeding, diarrhoea and vomiting, choking, breathing problems, collapse, seizures and suspected poisonings.
• Soft tissue surgery
  Our soft tissue veterinary specialists perform consultations and operations on tissue and muscles. They also tackle problems such as urinary incontinence or straining to urinate, breathing problems, ear problems or ear diseases, wounds, and unusual lumps.
• Internal medicine
  Internal medicine is the specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease. The internal medicine team will work closely with our emergency and critical care and soft tissue teams to provide a complete service to you and your pet. Reasons why your pet might get referred to our internal medicine department include diabetes, unexplained weight loss, persistent diarrhoea, anaemia and cases where you know your pet is ill, but nobody can get to the bottom of it.
• Oncology
  Our oncology service is equipped to provide state-of-the-art care when a diagnosis of neoplasia is made. Neoplasia is the term for various types of abnormal growths – both cancerous and non-cancerous. We can help with diagnosis and treatment, chemotherapy and palliative care.
• Diagnostic imaging
  Diagnostic imaging is a non-invasive way of making medical images of the body to diagnose disease. Our specialist vets have access to the most advanced imaging technology to help them interpret and report on images as they are taken. Our services include radiography, ultrasonography, and CT.
• Orthopaedic surgery
  Veterinary orthopaedics is concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system, or in basic terms, any injuries to the bone. Our Specialists use both surgical and nonsurgical means to treat orthopaedic disorders in cats and dogs, such as fractures, breaks, hip dysplasia and arthritis.
• Neurology & Neurosurgery
  Veterinary Neurology is concerned with conditions involving the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and the muscles they innervate. Reasons, why your pet might get referred to our neurology department, include seizures, sudden changes in behaviour, tremors, muscle twitches, droopy lip/eyelid, head tilt, loss of balance, wobbly gait, weakness/dragging of the paws, neck or back pain or inability to stand. We use surgical and nonsurgical means to treat neurological disorders in cats and dogs and work closely with our emergency and critical care, internal medicine, oncology, soft tissue, and orthopaedic teams to provide a complete service to you and your pet.
