The Vets Now Pet Emergency Hospital in Greater Manchester provides both a first-class referral service and an out-of-hours emergency service for veterinary practices in and around Manchester.

Our team of specialists and experienced referral clinicians see:

• soft tissue surgery referrals
• orthopaedic surgery referrals
• emergency and critical care referrals
• internal medicine referrals
• cardiology

Our out-of-hours team is here to provide an emergency service at nights, weekends and bank holidays and also to ensure continuity of care for any inpatients that have been seen by our referral team.

Our focus is to offer your practice access to our team as an extension of your own practice. We are here to support your team.

We take stable referrals and also see emergency and critical care cases. You can refer cases such as cruciate ligament surgery, urinary incontinence or hip dysplasia. Alternatively, if you have a daytime emergency such as an RTA or a patient requiring critical care for excessive vomiting and diarrhoea, we’re on hand to take an emergency referral.

Your practice does not have to use our out-of-hours service to access our referral service. We welcome referrals from all veterinary practices, and we understand that often your clients will be happier to travel further for a referral appointment than they would in an emergency. Likewise, if you are only interested in using our out-of-hours service, you can also access this without referring additional cases.

Our specialists and experienced referral vets have all undertaken years of additional training to qualify as experts in their field. This means we can deliver a service that you can trust. Our out-of-hours team are dedicated to emergency medicine and have focussed their development and training to ensure they are ready and equipped to see the type of cases we typically see out of hours.
