Out-of-hours emergency veterinary care in Glasgow

At our Glasgow Vets Now 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital, we’re dedicated to working in harmony with your daytime practice.

We provide emergency and critical care for your clients at nights, weekends and bank holidays, which means your team can have a well-deserved break after their working day.

It’s simple and easy to access our services:

• Transfer your calls to our out-of-hours emergency number when your practice closes
• Any calls you receive out-of-hours will then come straight through to us, and if any cases need immediate emergency care, we’ll direct them straight to the pet emergency hospital
• We will provide treatment, ensuring your clients receive the best emergency care available
• We’ll email across clinical notes of those cases we treat and send home, so each morning you’ll know about any cases we’ve seen on your behalf
• For cases which are more complicated, requiring ongoing treatment via inpatient care, we’ll call you in the morning to discuss the next steps
• If you’d prefer the patient to be transferred back to your own practice for further treatment, we’ll arrange that, providing they are well enough to travel
• However, if you’d prefer it, the case can be passed over to our daytime referral team and the patient can remain with us. It’s your client and you make the decision around continuity of care

If you choose to use our out-of-hours service, client literature and maps will be provided so you can brief your clients, ensuring they know exactly what to do should they experience an out-of-hours pet emergency. We aim to make it as stress-free and easy for your clients as possible, as we understand it can be a worrying time.
