Northampton – Veterinary Surgeon

Up to £70,000 DOE pro rata plus benefits

At Vets Now, we understand the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance, which is why we have developed a rota pattern designed to do just that.

Our role at Northampton is not a traditional full-time position but instead offers a flexible schedule consisting of 2 weeknights per week, 2 weekends every 4 weeks (either day or night shifts), and 3 to 4 bank holiday shifts per year. This schedule ensures no more than three consecutive shifts, providing ample opportunity for rest and personal time.

The available shift times typically include:

Weeknights – 2 nights per week

  • Night shifts 19:00-09:00

Weekends – 2 weekends every 4 weeks

  • Saturday day shifts 12:00-19:30 and Sunday day shifts 08:30-19:30
  • or Friday, Saturday and Sunday night shifts 19:00-09:00

Bank holidays – 3 to 4 day shifts per year

  • Day shifts 08:30-19:30

In the Northampton clinic, you’ll find a strong support network in highly experienced Vet Surgeons, a skilled Nursing team, and knowledgeable Animal Care Assistants and Receptionists. You’ll benefit from dedicated support and coaching, both formally as part of your professional journey and informally through collaboration with our Senior Vet.
