“At Vets Now, we’re passionate about emergency and critical care (ECC), and we’re committed to giving people and their pets the care and support they need, at the time they need it most.
“We partner with local practices to provide their clients with a dedicated out-of-hours service. At the heart of this is a team of vets, vet nurses and support staff who only work at nights, weekends and bank holidays.
“We’re the UK’s leading out-of-hours care provider, and handle the largest ECC caseload in Europe.
“As part of the IVC Evidensia group, we’re in an even stronger position to provide the highest quality of care and offer the best opportunities for everyone within our team.”

Our commitment to health and wellbeing
We understand that working in ECC can be a challenge. That’s why we offer a first-class benefits and rewards package that helps us attract, motivate and retain the best talent.
Our health and wellbeing team works with the NHS and Mind Matters, the RCVS’ mental health initiative, to make sure we maintain a healthy working environment for our people.
Their priorities include:
Raising awareness of mental health
Providing managers with wellbeing training
Educating out-of-hours employees on issues such as mindfulness and sleep hygiene
Our hospitals
Our 24-hour ECC and specialist referral hospitals offer unique opportunities for vets and vet nurses, both in ECC and complementary disciplines like internal medicine, surgery and oncology.
Our disciplines are diplomate-led, and we’re always interested in speaking to specialist and referral clinicians about joining us.
Residencies are also available, both in ECC and surgery. We’re hoping to expand into more disciplines in the future.
