Andrew Murdoch

BVM&S DipECVS MRCVS
RCVS Specialist in Small Animal Surgery

Andrew graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2003. He spent three years working in mixed practice before moving to a dedicated small animal hospital. Having always had a strong interest in surgery, he decided to pursue specialist training.

He completed his residency in small animal surgery at the University of Cambridge, and become a diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2017.

Andrew’s main clinical interests are in soft tissue surgery, particularly reconstructive techniques after trauma or cancer surgery, which is reflected in his research work.

His other publications have involved the use of local anaesthetic techniques in pain management for orthopaedic surgery. His current project is evaluating humeral intracondylar fissures in spaniels.
