Dr Kate Russell

CertAVP (ECC) MRCVS, RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Emergency and Critical Care, Lead ECC Veterinary Surgeon

Kate graduated from St Petersburg State Academy of Veterinary Medicine with distinction in 2004. She gained membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2008 and went on to work in small animal general practices and emergency clinics across the south of England.

In October 2010, Kate completed our 10-week Cutting Edge ECC induction programme before taking up a vet surgeon role in our Guildford clinic. Two years later she moved to one of Vets Now’s busiest out-of-hours emergency clinics in Farnham where she was principal vet. She then moved to Winchester in 2015. The following year Kate completed an RCVS certificate in advanced veterinary practice. She moved to Swindon in February 2017 where she led the hospital’s 24/7 small animal emergency and critical care service.

Currently, Kate is a district vet, overseeing eight out-of-hours clinics in the south of England.
